The Cloudnist spec sheet

Six parts make up the storage system. Each one is described below with its own drawing, a plain explanation and the features you get.

Part CN-101

Structured Storage

Folders that follow a plan, not a pile.

Set up a folder structure once and every device you own follows it. Documents, project files, photos and video land where they belong, so finding last spring's invoice takes seconds instead of a hunt through a dozen download folders.

  • Start from a template or draw your own folder tree
  • Photos and videos filed into dated folders as they upload
  • The same layout on your phone, tablet and laptop
  • Rename or move a folder once and every device updates
  • Search by name, file type or date across all folders

CN-102 — Scheduled BackupsScale 1:1

Part CN-102

Scheduled Backups

Back up at the minute you choose.

Pick the hour, the days and how often each device backs up. Run a nightly sweep for your laptop, an hourly pass for a work folder, and a quick photo upload whenever your phone is charging on Wi-Fi.

  • Choose exact times and weekdays for every backup job
  • Hourly, daily or weekly frequency per folder
  • Limit phone uploads to Wi-Fi or to while charging
  • Pause a schedule without losing its settings
  • Storage alerts when a backup is skipped or space runs low

CN-103 — File VersioningScale 1:1

Part CN-103

File Versioning

Every saved change, kept.

Each time a file is saved, Cloudnist keeps that state as a version. If a spreadsheet gets overwritten or a deleted folder turns out to matter, step back to the exact moment before things went wrong.

  • Browse a dated list of versions for any file
  • Preview an earlier version before you restore it
  • Restore as a copy so the current file stays untouched
  • Recover deleted files and folders from the recovery bin
  • See which device made each change

CN-104 — Secure TransferScale 1:1

Part CN-104

Secure Transfer

Uploads and downloads in a sealed pipe.

Files are encrypted while they travel between your devices and Cloudnist, whether you are syncing a phone photo or sending a folder to a client. Share links can carry a password and an expiry date.

  • Encrypted uploads and downloads on every device
  • Share a single file or a whole folder with a link
  • Add a password or an expiry date to any link
  • Resume interrupted transfers where they stopped
  • Switch a link off at any time

CN-105 — Team FoldersScale 1:1

Part CN-105

Team Folders

One workspace, clear access rules.

Create shared folders for a household, a club or a small business. Decide who can view, who can edit and who can manage, and change it later without moving a single file.

  • Viewer, editor and manager roles for every shared folder
  • Invite people by email and remove them in one step
  • Shared folders appear on each member's devices
  • An activity log of uploads, edits and deletions
  • Set access on a subfolder without opening the whole tree

Part CN-106

Usage Reports

See where every gigabyte went.

Reports break your storage down by folder, file type, device and member, so you know what is filling your space before it fills. Pair them with storage alerts to get a heads-up at the limits you set.

  • A breakdown by folder, file type and device
  • Largest and oldest untouched files listed first
  • Storage alerts at thresholds you choose
  • A weekly summary delivered by email
  • Export any report as a CSV file
